Here's the sword. It's just about finished. Just a bit of touching up to do and varnishing, then it's done.

Sword updates & Starting to get the look
Here is a reference picture of Rose's sword (half of the pictures still seem to get cut off when I try and display them on here).

1.) Top of sword hood (undercoated)
2.) Underside of sword hood (undercoated)
3.) Whole sword (undercoated)
Also, here are a few of how the armour skirt "thing" and the tunic/leggings look together. Please note my camera on my phone is inconsistent with colours in varying levels of light.
1.) From the back
2.) From the front (a bit blurry and the front of the skirt "thing" isn't attached as you can see I'm wearing hotpants underneath - and I also will be wearing them at the expo - and please excuse the small amount of the relatively "large" amount of untidiness in my room that's visible)
3.) From the side (yes, I am leaning a bit and I've already been told it looks a little weird)

Getting there, but I'm still worried...
Getting there now with Rose...
1.) Leggings
2.) Finished tunic
3.) Wearing the tunic (+ gloves and wig)
4.) Wearing the armour skirt
Damn I hope this is going to fit together and look right. The combination of papiermache and fabric concerns me.

Leggings, tunic and a bit of sword progress
More updates! Leggings and the top + the sword this time.
Please note, the colours look different as the picture of the top was taken in my room and the one of the leggings was outside. They are, however, made from the same sheet of material. The material is a tad too light for the armour, so it's going to be dyed a bit darker.
1.) Leggings (not yet decorated). These will be worn without the black leggings on. I'll have them on bare legged (with the exception of socks).
2.) Tunic (not yet decorated - but looks the right colour in THAT light).
3.) Sword progress (Hood and handle).

Getting there
Here are few update photos.
1.) The Collage (It's not ALL of the armour, but it's most of it. Still need to more painting and varnishing though).
2.) Armour mini skirt (close up detail).
3.) Sword progress (finally! I have my dad to thank for this).

Fitting things together
Alright, this costume is taking its toll on me. I'm not giving up, and I WILL get it done for the expo, but that doesn't stop it from being a pain in the arse. Whoever designed Rose's costume should be shot - even though it looks cool, making it is a NIGHTMARE!
1.) Fitting the shoulder pads together....
They're tied together, and then have to be tied to the front and back of the breastplate.
2.) Fitting the front of the collar on to the breastplate front.....
It's attached in two parts either side, with slots in the top. It was the only way it was going to work with the way I'd made the front of the breastplate itself. Here's another pic shown at an angle - Front breastplate + collar.
3.) Armour mini skirt - with first layers of paint.
This piece isn't really a problem...besides painting it all.
So, it's getting there. I just damn well hope it goes right when it comes to fitting it all together.

Here's a quick update on the progress with Rose.
1.) Armour Mini Skirt (worn before painting)
2.) Middle Shoulder Pads (scruffy at the moment, I know)
3.) Top Shoulder Pads
4.) Foundations of leg pieces
The breastplate is giving me a lot of problems at the moment, but I will update when I have more to say about how the "progress" is going.

Boots, Back of Breastplate + Armoured Mini Skirt Skeleton
I have the boots now. They're the closest I can find, and I must say they're good for this cosplay.
1.) Rose Boot
2.) Rose Boots
The back of the breastplate is still in progress, as is the method of attaching it all together.
I've done the underlying shoulder pieces (and will add the shoulder armour on top with velcro as well) - Back of breastplate.
Lastly, I've started on the armoured mini skirt. It's just in its skeletal stage at the moment.
1.) Armoured Mini Skirt - Flat out
2.) Armoured Mini Skirt - Standing
That's all for the moment.

Wig/Coronet & Front Chest Armour
I managed to get the wig to go on with the coronet. I have to lift the first layers of the wig and then put the coronet over and under that layer. You will be able to see from the picture showing the back. I will still need to add the extensions as the back of the coronet can still be seen.
Here are the pictures...
1.) Wig & Coronet 1
2.) Wig & Coronet 2
3.) Wig & Coronet 3 (back)
4.) Finished coronet on its own
I have also made progress on the upper armour...
1.) Front & Back (with foam pattern before 2nd papiermache & painting)
2.) Front armour (in middle stage with painting now)
As the comment says on this one, the unpainted white piece at the top is where the collar will be stuck on.

Coronet, horns and sword
Here are pictures of the coronet at present from the front and the side, and the painted horns (which still aren't finished either).
Sadly the paint on the front of the coronet keeps cracking, but I am working on that continually.
1.) Coronet (front)
2.) Coronet (side)
3.) Painted horns
Rose's sword has also been started.
Here is the cardboard template, and here is the sword itself ready for shaping etc...

Horns and Coronet
I made the coronet, and although it's a bit on the tight side, it's still wearable (albeit I might get a headache, but never mind). It's almost ready to be painted.
* Coronet
I've also made the horns to the point were they are ready to be painted. In-fact, the first coat is already on them. Here are the pictures of the progress with them.

Headband Horn Pieces + tunic preparations
Rose has two horn-like pieces on the headband that she wears.
Currently, I am creating them out of: 2 polystyrene balls, 2 polystyrene egg shapes, and papermache. Once they're done I'll try and make the coronet they will mount on.
I have the fabric for the tunic, but though it's meant to be midnight blue it looks a little washed out, so I'll make the tunic (if I can find a pattern!) and then dye it darker.
